My Dad used to fly on that Argus.

Great shots.

Are gun shows legal in Canada?

The Argus was a well loved plane as far as I know.

Not sure, I'm afraid to ask, why?

herr_oberst 02-23-2022 01:51 PM

Suns out, guns out. :)

(I thought it was you until I realized it was the prime minister.!)

Cool Pics. What's the story with the saucer? We had on in y town, it was an amusement ride. It was moved to a waterfront lot to be turned into a house but was never finished

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

What’s the clear bubble on the front of the plane?

This was at a park at one of the beaches, lots of people loved it and one of my friends
was always hoping to be able to buy it one day. So sure enough the park closed and the saucer was up for sale. I told my friend, who lived in Newfoundland, that the saucer could be had and he was hot for it. It was up for auction and he replied to me "but how will we get it from PEI to NFLD"? I replied "you're going to fly it home aren't you". It got sold before he could get his hands on it, every summer he comes over to our cottage close to where the saucer was, and we always spend some time looking for it, but no luck yet. (More beer might help"

PS: It spent years and years at "Rainbow Valley" on PEI, millions of tourists were in love with it

Well, the Argus flew over the Atlantic hunting subs, and this nose was some sort visual or radar I think.

If "Old E" Les sees this he could probably tell us.

Yep. Observer/weapons release station.
CFB Greenwood, near here have a number of asw aircraft around their museum grounds. You will find a Lancaster, Neptune, Argus and a bunch more.

Great shots, Dennis.
Best
Les

None of the 'Saucer' pics show water or hydro in or waste out.

Unique...but not fun to live in.

We can fix that, soon as we land it. BTW don't aliens pee and poop

stevej37 02-24-2022 12:44 PM

lol...I forgot they travel at warp speed.

yellowperil 02-24-2022 12:48 PM

Yeah, we'd have that fixed before we got to Gander.
