To fill up my 911. 82 bucks. My new record.

A930Rocket 06-09-2022 03:52 AM

$111.64 to fill up yesterday. Gas went up $.20 in one week. Using my debit card, I had to make two transactions, due to a $100 limit.

Not much has been said about home heating oil prices. We have 3 tanks to fill...one at home and two in our local rental. The oil company delivered to our rental yesterday...$5.899 per gallon.
Holy ****! Looks like it's going to be a cold winter in our old Victorian, or a significantly emptied bank account.

I don’t even want to think about the price for propane to fill my two 1000 gallon tanks. I’m probably going to look into a new higher efficiency heat pump that I will install in the fall before I need to start using propane again.

I'm locked in for Propane at $2.61/gal thru this coming heating season.

Amerigas has an AmeriLock program and I use it every year. (it costs $99/year)
The last year and this coming one...it's really paid off.

I own my tanks and typically fill up at summer rates and I have two neighbors that typically join me when I fill up so a truckload is delivered in 3 short stops. Last year was BY FAR the most I ever paid per gallon and this year will probably top that.

Okay I don’t feel so bad now! 1.899 for summer fill

Here is a post I made after Biden was elected.... Not everyone agreed with me. ;)

"For future reference....
Today (1/20/2021) I called to get my 1000 gallon propane tank topped off and am paying $1.38/gallon.
Gas prices in NW Ohio are about $2.10 gal.
No doubt prices will skyrocket over the next 4 years."

I just put some gas in my truck at local station here in NW Ohio.... $5.09 for 87 octane.... First time I have had to pay over $5.00 here. FJB

Sorry to kick ya in the nuts Steve! Amerigas is not a customer friendly company. We used to own a terminal that they leased.

stevej37 06-09-2022 02:29 PM

^^^ Yeah, I've found that out a long way back. A customer has to call them to get reasonable pricing.
If you don't call...they are happy to let you pay more than you should.

Best thing you can do when on propane is to own your own tank. Next is to stop auto fill

Guys, in the picture Dennis posted, what is "diesel #2?

manbridge 74 06-09-2022 09:44 PM

#2 diesel is summer blend, #1 is winter blend, less gelling.

No. #2 diesel is just road taxed diesel, year 'round. #1 diesel is farm diesel, dyed red and not road taxed. You only see farm diesel sold in rural areas.

manbridge 74 06-10-2022 04:29 AM

Not here I guess. Where I worked in the mountains we received the different blends both in red (untaxed) according to time of year.

fastfredracing 06-10-2022 05:10 AM

Heating oil here, I see lots of firewood in my future this fall.

Yup. And if the highway patrol catches you on the freeway burning red diesel, then you're screwed with a baseball bat.
