Diesel went up over 50 cents in the past week. Sitting at $5.39 here. Was $4.89 a week ago.

Which really sucks cuz my wife's plug-in hybrid is in the shop, so she's driving my truck to work. Weekly gas bill just jumped from $60/week to nearly $300/week :(

I stopped to have lunch the other day, regular was $4.09 when I went in, when I came out, it was $4.29:eek:

Apparently, there has been a policy for the last few years in California to back WAY off on traffic enforcement. This has ended and they are going back to writing tickets.

Be advised if you live in California.

I agree with this. Waze is my co-pilot. My son moved to Cleveland in October and I have made several trips to see him. I have been passed by cars when I have been going 75-80 mph. No complaints with the gas millage on my VW Jetta either.

I might be getting a 1982 Honda CVCC tomorrow just for the mileage. And the coolness factor of course.

Sh.t got crazy! It' 4.35 for regular around here. As a friendly gesture, I filled up the Cab before the new owner headed south with it.

Today I went shopping at Publix. The outside temp was 77F. In the next space was a Tundra V8, idling, with nobody visible in it.

When I came out 45 min later, it was still there, still idling. As I loaded my stuff, a guy walked up, climbed in, and drove off. I assume it was the owner, maybe not. Maybe he hoped somebody would steal it?

People are wierd.

^^^
The worst part is, car thieves walked by it thinking "ain't nobody gonna want that gas hog right now"

I've witnessed the very same thing. I also see people sitting in their cars eating lunch, playing with their phones, listening to the radio, or just staring off into space...with the engine idling the whole time. This would be on a nice mild day too...no heat or A/C needed.

Nobody around here seems to care one bit that gas is $6.00/gal, or that there's already too much CO2 in the atmosphere. They're just so Fk'n dense...

Holy Hell!! That's nuts. And they don't even give you the option to shoot the middle with 89 octane! I think a protest is in order. You buy the beer and the plane ticket and I'll be there!

WPOZZZ 05-13-2022 03:28 PM

Don't gas prices typically peak on Memorial Day?

cabmandone 05-13-2022 04:38 PM

For your sake I sure hope so!!

We went up to the mountains over the weekend and as we passed a Love's Truck Stop I was literally stunned to see the diesel price sitting at $5.69 per gallon. I guess I need to get out on the road more, I had no idea it was this bad. I've gotten used to $4.00 gas but this has got to really bite for truckers!
