World Championship of pool 9 ball
Has been going on in England all week. 128 pros from around the planet started, now only 4 left. One of them is Shane Van Boening of South Dakota. Tables are 9' Diamonds with tight 4 1/4" pockets. The guys make tight pockets look like buckets.

My congratulations to Shane Van Boening of South Dakota for winning the World 9 ball Championship by defeating last year's winner, Albin Ouschan of Austria, 13 games to 6.

Highlights of the finals...20 minutes or so. Loved watching Shane before he sank the final 9...he had to be thinking: "I've worked my whole life for this"
