Does anybody know a Bruce Odquist Wilkinson , that lives or used to live in VA?

Quick search shows one in Williamsburg, in his 50s, and a couple of phone numbers. With that middle name, it's gotta be him....

Havent got the car , am interested in it, either for me or for a friend.
So wouldn't just want to call up the man just like that, would be quite weird call I think?
Was just curious if perhaps he was on Pelicanparts.

I wouldn't find it "quite weird" to receive a call like that, and I don't think most real car guys would. Don't know if this previous owner is of the car guy sort, but I'd still make the call if I were ion your shoes.

Might be a bit unusual, but certainly not off-putting or weird.

Ring `em up!

Nah, not going to happen, not my style.

I would certainly call. He might get a real kick out of it.

Call him. Once a Porscheophile, always a Porscheophile.

BTW, where is that guy?

If I got a call, I would certainly take the time to chat about my car. May well be worth the time and effort if it reveals useful details about the car before and during his ownership.

Call him.

I bought a 1954 BMW R25 (cycle) some years ago. Pouring through documentation I found an early owner’s name and address in Germany from the late 60’s. Did a search and found the same name as a University professor in Germany. E-mailed him at an “info” email address at the university.

Not only did it get to him but he was thrilled to hear his old bike was now in America and still in working/riding condition. We communicated back and forth for some time and he still had pics and info about original owner (deceased). Was a fascinating endeavor. The bike came with a unique well-worn leather tool pouch mounted on the luggage rack. Turns out he had it made decades ago by a drapery shop in the small town where he lived at the time, still mounted exactly as he had done some 50 years ago.

I say...reach out to him. There’s no down side, especially if you wind up buying the car.

You can probably find him through the PCA Potomac Region. I don't know if they have a public member list, but the PCA's executive director is based in NoVA and he's a buddy of mine. He used to post here. He'd probably help you out.

No help needed, just curious if he was on the pelicanparts forum, that's all.
