I looked quite a while for this car, I was looking for the nicest 240 wagon I could find that I didn’t mind using as a daily driver. Not a museum piece, but likely to be the nicest Brick you’ll see out in the wild. The story on the car is a lady bought it new locally and had it serviced at the dealer until the initial warranty ran out. Then in 1991 she began having it serviced exclusively at Garry Small Saab here in Portland. For those who aren’t familiar with Garry Small look him up, he was one of the founders of IPD and to this day is a Swedish specialist. I have every service record for the car under Garry Small’s care dating back to 1991. The car always received factory Volvo parts unless one was unavailable, and then it got best quality that was available. I have maintained that during my ownership and it is amazing how much is still available from Volvo. To say this car has been meticulously maintained is an understatement. When the original owner stopped driving she took it in to have major service done before the sale (clutch, brakes, timing belt, fluids) and then had Garry sell it in consignment. That’s when I acquired it. The car has been flawless during my ownership, always garaged, and in prep for sale I did timing belt, front engine seals, tensioner, and water pump. A little ahead of schedule, but I wanted the next caretaker to have the same great experience I had.

Wow, that is a nice one...great color combo as well. The only thing that makes one of those better would be a swapped in 740 or 940 turbo mill.

Pinto was really a heck of a good car, you just have to trim the bolt that will puncture the fuel tank ina rear ender. Light, dead reliable lump under the hood. I had fun with mine

When I got mine - the whole experience was off the charts. It was so cool the actual transaction itself took a back seat to everything else going on.

Sames as when I bought my tub in '05.
