Escaped inmate & missing corrections officer in Alabama

Been in the news the last few days.....still on the loose!

The breakout happened last Friday.

10K reward for information leading to the arrest of Casey White.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed there was a relationship between the corrections officer and the inmate on the run from law enforcement.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton told News 19 through various sources investigators were able to confirm was a “special relationship” between Vicky White and Casey White.

It just boggles my mind that any woman can fall in love with a prisoner. The criminal is in freaking jail, and yet she throws away her career, and her live and will face certain jail time when caught, assuming she is not killed by the criminal or in some shootout.

Assuming she was a little bit intelligent, she had time to stash clothes, and the items needed for an life on the run at several spots. Make up some false IDs, stash all the cash she can, and plan a route into the sticks. They might be difficult to catch. But most criminals are pretty stupid, and they will likely be caught fairly soon with a nation wide manhunt for them.

Most folks find their romantic partners "nearby," either work, hobby, circle of friends. For her, that's guards and prisoners, and there's probably a lot more prisoners to choose from. And prisoners are far more likely to be eager and interested and with plenty of time to be persistent. And it's possible that some of them are charismatic. It's not actually that big a shock. It's probably the same reason that some teachers end up with students. Granted, it's not normal, right, or healthy, but it is explainable.

I used to work with a gal who was a former corrections employee and she was a whack job. Her husband was, probably still is, incarcerated. She married him while they were both at the facility. That is why she was an ex employee. I was told by others that there is a whole sub culture of corrections employees who's lifestyle is built around working in prisons and having relationships with prisoners. It is similar to being a woman in a relationship with a gang member.

As I said, the men and women guards are a whole lot prettier inside the joint than on the street. Then you factor in the phycological 'power' over the prisoners............or vice versa

I have known a fair number of corrections officers. Getting busy with the inmates happens more than you would think.

FLORENCE, Ala. – The days long manhunt for an escaped Alabama murder suspect Casey Cole White and the high-ranking jail guard, Vicky White, came to a close on Monday – more than 10 days after the pair fled from the according to officials.

A U.S. Marshal Service spokesperson confirmed the news in an email to Fox News Digital Monday, acknowledging that Casey was in custody. Vicky was hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Indiana law enforcement officials confirmed.

"Casey White and Vicky White are in custody," Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton confirmed to reporters during a press conference later on Monday. Law enforcement caught up to the couple in Evansville, Indiana, on Monday afternoon, when a police chase ensued, Singleton said.

I heard on the radio that he left without his meds and that when the meds wear off, he can be very violent. She's lucky they got caught. Now her life is over, anyway.
