I wear antiperspirant.

I think I heard something about the aluminium in antiperspirant, but I don't remember.

Umm, I think it causes somethin' like Old timers disease. But I also can't remember.

I switched from anti-perspirant to deodorant a few years. I figure why risk it and I don't notice any difference.

Along the same topic: how about the difference between a cotton shirt and a modern man-made sports shirt. I'm pretty ripe after a few hours in the heat in the man-made stuff.

Either way, unscented. Can’t stand the foo-foo smell (also don’t use aftershave foo-foo). I remember working on cars that the owner used eye watering amounts of foo-foo and then I’d smell like it the rest of the day. Can’t stand it!

I am hyper sensitive to smells particularly deodorant. Been using degree sheer powder stick which is a combo deodorant/anti persperant. Would prefer to avoid chemicals altogether but don't know of anything that works. Might try the baking soda thing.

Have found gold bond powder spray to work great for the occasional shwetty ballz times.

Yeah just be glad that you can still perspire normally. Some people cannot and summer heat becomes very dangerous.

I have had unscented Right Guard a couple of times, but it's hard to find. There are a bunch of other unscented antiperspirants out there.

I find that if I use a little bit of bleach in the wash, it takes care of the stinky shirts, cotton or man made. Otherwise, when I get hot or sweaty, the shirt smells sour.

Whatever scent you like, fine but please don't drench yourself.

Remember about 10 years ago when Axe body spray came out? There was one guy in the office who marinaded in it every day. Some folks when to H.R. about it because because they were having allergic reaction to the smell.

Ohh yeah, synthetics are no bueno for shirts IMO.

I worked with a woman called Gillian Armstrong. She used to fart in the office which was pretty bad, but then she figured out if she sprayed cheap perfume around the place it would hide the fart. OMG I could handle the fart or I could handle the cheap perfume, but both together http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/pukeface.gif

What's that? I don't sweat and when I do, no BO as far as I know. The guys at the job site are sweating like a pig just standing there with wet arms and I am dry as desert. Wife or kids hadn't said anything even after a 50 mile bike rides.

vash 05-31-2022 07:36 AM

mocha07 05-31-2022 09:24 AM

What I buy is a combo, deodorant and antiperspirant.

mattdavis11 05-31-2022 06:31 PM

I've been using the same stuff for 30+ years, deodorant and antiperspirant. She switched to mine shortly after we moved in together. Supply has been low recently.

mattdavis11 06-01-2022 01:41 PM

From M*A*S*H :

Charles Emerson Winchester III : In the first place, I do not sweat; I perspire. In the second place, I never perspire.
