Porsche inspired watches on Pelican
Porsche Design watches are cool.
I don't remember the brand, but there was some company a while back making watches where part of the watch was actually made from metal from an old 911. Those were very cool. But, from a more budget friendly point of view I think the GRD watches sold by Pelican are kind of cool. https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/PORS/POR_PORS_GREDWA-detail.htm I think all but one of these are quartz movements. These are my favorites. I prefer where the 9, 10, 11, and 12 are left off of the dial, and the numerals are located similarly to the numbers on a tach (ie, 1 is ~8 o'clock) I prefer the redline marker more like my old 3.2L. ![]() Good aesthetics, but I'd prefer the 9-12 to be left off. ![]() rotated is cool, but I'd prefer to have a redline marker. ![]() This one would go nicely with my Boxster ![]() retro is cool, and I think this is the only automatic movement (and is therefore, a bit more expensive) ![]() They have a few others if you follow the link.

I got one of them a couple of years ago, and the face mimics the tach in my G-body. It's a nice little watch, seems to be decent quality, and is a conversation piece when showing someone how to read the time.

Cool. Do you set it based on the numbers on the dial or do you use the traditional clock positions and ignore the numbers on the dial?
