New York, Boston, Florida ….. and Toronto.

Heck, I’m out in a limb here and know full well the Buds are in tough, again. Not predicting anything after the first round.

Reg: The Leafs are looking better than they have in years past.

The Caps were looking stronger but they had a horrible April and Ovi won't be any where near 100%. I don't follow the West too much but was shocked to see how strong the Flames are. It does my heart good to see certain teams not make the playoffs or a 1 round and done candidate.

I really struggled to pick the Rangers over the B's but I just don't think the Bruins are strong enough to go past the first round.

So where are the other hockey fans. C'mon and step up.

The Eastern playoffs look to be the more interesting sets of series although that means some very good teams are out after the first round. Here out west - the Blues vs Wild has all the makings of all-out-war!

The Rangers had a solid year so think they can advance. I have nightmares over the Bruins. Hoping they get taken out early 😁

The Bruins had an awesome early to mid April. Won 12 out of 15 (or something like that). Then they crashed and burned 4 days in a row. They then finished with 4 out of 5 wins (including the Panthers and Rangers). All year they've had a problem with giving up the lead or even the game in the last minute of the period.

The question here is WHICH Bruins team will take the ice Monday night?

The good news for us is we have two strong goalies, Pastrnak is healthy, Marchand broke the goal drought, and the team finally scored a power play goal. That said, the 2011-12 cup winning Bruins had the worst PP % in the entire league so...

Panthers against my Caps. If the Caps get the kind of inconsistent goaltending they've had all year then it's going to be a Panthers



BUT, I predict the President's Trophy curse remains: Panthers won't hoist Lord Stanley's Cup.

I don't pay attention to the West, but just for giggles:

Leafs disappoint again and we get to see another Dangle meltdown. Bolts in 7.
Bruins take the 'Canes in six.
Rags take 'the deadguins in six or less (I hope).

Flames over Dallas; Earlers over Kings; Avs over Preds; Blues over Wild - this series should be the best Western fist round. I don't have a very good/accurate 'feel' for the East; Bolts over the "Buds"; Panthers over "Ovi-less" Caps; Pens over Rangers; Hurricanes over Da Broons - sorry Joe.

Cooper's post-game comments seemed a shade less than complimentary re the Buds beat-down by intimating the Bolts didn't put forth their best/decent effort. This could be 'bulletin board' material for TO's dressing room. This series is gonna get interesting.
Credit Mike Smith for owning it with his late period gaffe allowing the Kings to take game 1.

Bruins offense forgot to show up in Games 1 & 2 and got no help from Ullmark - Swayman starts game three. Bruins need a decisive win or they are burnt toast.
