Mechanics talk shop

How much BS? How much truth? Our Fast Fred would know. I can only guess.

Not sure. I haven't seen a mechanic be so negative on GM.

No interest whatsoever after a few minutes.

Hey Gm has provided me with an pretty steady and simple income stream for years. A LOT of mechanics I know drive GM pickups and vehicles .
Most universal platform, 90% of the time, easiest to work on , source parts for , and hey , who can overlook the simplest cheapest most reliable v8 horsepower evah
These guys spent a lot of time talking about vehicles that have not really been rolling through shop doors for 15 years .
How many 4.3's are still out there in daily use? They mostly all rusted away here .

I was surprised since I thought the 4.3 would be bulletproof like a 350 since it was just 3/4 of a 350.
