Brutal heat in SoCal today

I'm not usually one to complain about being hot, but today is really just about all I need. I went out to check the bird bath and fountains (solar powered) to make sure they were full. It is brutal out there. Beach cam says it's 94* down there and not many are on the sand today. Of course it is still early.

We are mid 80s and low humidity here. Loving it.

Last year we never hit 100, this year we had done that several times. I am ready for fall weather 70s for highs.

Here in Castaic we've got the heat, a fire that has closed 2 lanes of the 5 north and every traveler clogging the streets of Castaic.

Yesterday it was 45 minutes to travel 2 tenths of a mile in town, 90 minutes from the grocery store to home which is about a mile and a half.

I hate the heat. Started Riding home from Central Oregon on Thursday. This was about a 14 hour day.... Had to be home to attend a wedding on Saturday, so i was pushing it.

Fridays ride was the worst ride in my life.
Several hours over 113, hitting a high of 114. I have never been more happy to be home.....All of that to have Vegan Tacos at a wedding that was umm interesting.....the things we do for our wife. She owes me.....

It’s hot here in the foothills of northern cal. Supposed to hit 107 Tuesday. The only good thing is it cools at night. Big difference between July heat and September heat. Going to hate to see my PG&E bill. Running the air here is like buying new tires for the Porsche… yikes!!!!

Flew to MN on Thursday, one day of heat here and then it broke yesterday…75-80 deg and low humidity. I’d be dying in LA right now, I can’t stand heat like that.

Hottest I have been its 117 in Death Valley, it sure feel like it here today at 106 now. Got my wife's car running this morning, not its overheating and I was just under the engine bay with the extra heat I get to enjoy. I need to get her a new vehicle

Mid 90's in the hills east of San Diego. It's been like that for the past few days & will be for another few days. Only gets down to 75 at night. We try to do things in the mornings and early evenings to avioid the mid day heat.

How do you guys do this in Pheonix of TX day after day without a break? I think we have another few days of this then it goes back to mid to high 80s. Where the heck is this high humidity come from? Skipped my bike ride this Saturday. I went out with my kid last Wednesday after school for a 20 mile ride. Under that sun, my arms are now peeling.

I have a pool. And it was only 104 in Scottsdale today which is sort of normal.

This year was pretty bad. The 114 on the 19th was the second higher daily temp ever recorded for Lawton.

I love Whidbey Island!

We’ve been beach camping in Bodega Bay for the past few days. It actually got up to 75 today!

Mrs. Noah and I took the Targa to Malibu this morning. It was hot even there. 99 degrees and no wind. On the slog home it was sweatingly uncomfortable. You know what 104 degrees feels like at 70 mph? 104 degrees. She made it look breezy, though.

Then tonight we went to the Greek Theatre tonight to see Jackson Browne. Normally it gets chilly there in the evening once the sun goes down, but for the first two or three songs after we hiked in from parking I was sweating bullets.

Low 40's this AM. It's been a wonderful, lush green summer!
