"G" body
Did I miss something or is the description "G" body something new, things that make you go hmmmmmm,
|
You missed something. Although I think it's more commonly called the G-series. Unless you're talking about the GM G-body.
https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/history/porsche-911-seven-generations-part-2-g-model-16459.html It's the "bellows bumpers" cars. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663265852.jpg |
Wow, Porsche made that image BIG!
I uploaded a copy so it's shrunk down to something manageable. |
Non-Porsche people don't know what a G-Series is. So I just describe it as a "Porsche looking Porsche", and they say I know what you mean.

You're clearly going to have to kick it up a notch if you don't want to be moved to the poser category. :D Where's my next book in the series! :) |

I was chatting with a buddy that sold his 80 911 SC back in 1996 for 18K and he thought he got top money. He said the the next day after it was sold, the prices started to go up. I thanked him profusely for making my car triple in value since I bought it in 1995.

I smile when I think that my 911 is called a G body by Porsche, and my El Camino is called a G body by GM. Both vehicles have what the owners call a "smugglers box" and my two examples are both white with a burgundy interior.
And both have for tires! One vehicle is for hauling stuff, and one is for hauling ass. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663333990.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663333945.JPG |
