certainly not great tires

Bill Douglas 09-29-2022 11:50 AM

He was on a straight road and...

Garrett said he believed he was driving around 65 mph when he lost control of his vehicle.

I think someone talked to their lawyer before making that comment. A legal word he used was believed.

Great driving history...

WKYC reported that Garrett has been pulled over for speeding at least six times since joining the Browns as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In several of those instances, Garrett was driving over 100 miles per hour, the records show.

Almost exactly a year prior to the date of this week’s crash – between Sept. 24 and 25 in 2021 – Garrett was pulled over twice in a 24-hour period, first for driving 120 MPH and then for going 105. Per the report, he was fined $267 and $287 for the citations.

In another instance in May 2020, he was cited for going 100 MPH in a 65 zone, and was also charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle and violating a turn signal. He pled guilty to speeding and had the other charges dropped, paying another fine of $308.

I read this ^^ information in another article this morning and wondered how many times he had been let go with a warning being such a high-profile NFL star in the Ohio area..? Prolly more than a few LEO's are Browns fans.

How does he not lose his license with all of those tickets?
That is one destroyed car!

Eric Hahl 09-29-2022 02:11 PM

All I have to say is triple digit speeding for me would result in handcuffs. Just sayin'.

Allegedly swerved to avoid hitting an animal. Very well coached indeed

A930Rocket 09-29-2022 03:04 PM

I thought just about every police agency would impound the car over a certain mile per hour and/or take you to the pokey.

I know if we had that kind of activity, none of us would have a license, insurance, or a car

MisterB 09-29-2022 03:09 PM

Not sure how this works. He has TX plates MG95. TX dl in Ohio
The normal Joe would not get the lenient treatment.

The accident investigators and/or insurance company are very good at figuring out how fast he was going and what actually happened.

The ECU will show the last 30 seconds of operation , including the speed.

TRE Cup 09-29-2022 05:56 PM

You can't run the 40 in 4.4 at 272 lbs.

Dude ran out of talent..... end of story. Lucky to be alive. The fact that he is a football player has nothing to do with it, except is it sells and is click bait...

Total looser.

Cheers
