Came upon two bad accidents today ☹️

Was on my way this morning to a PCA swap meet . Two miles from my destination there were all kinds of police and emergency lights flashing . Lucky enough there was an exit road and I made it to the swap meet . Only stayed about 30 minutes and left.

So now I am on the opposite side of the road where all the emergency vehicles are . As I approach I can't even tell if the wrecked vehicle is a car/truck/SUV it is that destroyed . Looks like a very high speed wreck into concrete bridge supports . No way anyone survived.

Went on my way and about an hour later come across more flashing lights . Traffic crawling along and merging to one lane to clear the next accident . When I get up to this wreck I see bits and pieces of motorcycle . Looks like someone pulled out in front of him/her . Another biker was at the side of the road talking to a trooper .

Was sad to see the aftermath of both wrecks . It only takes a few seconds for things to go very wrong . Stay safe out there guys .

In a New York minute.

Since we moved, I’ve stopped riding motorcycles. Two very close calls in two months. It’s probably been 20 years since the last close call. I took the hint. For now.

Be careful out there.

Amen...be careful. The into bridge supports crash? May have been a suicide...a cop friend once said many such "accidents" are. Crash used to assure those remaining get life insurance money.

I had two very close calls just a few years ago in my F150... both times my head was on a swivel, and I avoided being T-boned on the driver's side @ 50-60 mph. I quit riding my HD years ago, though I never had a close call....

Just too many inattentive idiots where I live.... now. Wasn't always this way...

BCOT for sure..... a split second is all it takes...

Where ya at now? I remember you had an awesome place on a lake when you were waterlogged .

I've never ridden a motorcycle. I'm sure that I'd love it. Mom was a nurse in emergency rooms and dad was a cop and drove an ambulance for a while. He did have a motorcycle once for about 6 months when we lived in Pensacola in the 70s. I'd rather be in a cage.

I don't trust the drivers in the area. Actually, here in the country wouldn't be too bad, but in/around Houston has the worst drivers I've ever run across.

Isn't this the truth?!?!

I drive and back, from Woodstock, down to Midtown every day for my commute. The question one asks, each way, is not, "Will there be any accidents?", but rather, "How many?" More times than not, they appear to be caused by distracted drivers.

The dash TV screens of new cars also adds to the list of distractions...
