If this is your hairline, would you shave it all off? Asking for a friend.

Ok seriously now, I’ve been struggling with hair loss for quite some time. I was using minoxidil up until I retired beginning of this year. Rogaine actually works if you use it religiously. Since I’m not seeing customers anymore, I figure I’d give it up. Man, my hair loss picked up steam so now my head looks like Bert’s from Sesame Street.

If you had my hairline, would you shave your head? I’d totally do that but I don’t have a nice melon and I’m vain like a lot of dudes in their fifties.

I think I started shaving my head when I was about 35. It's awesome. But then I've been told that I've got a good melon.

If you don't like how you look shaved, then leave it. It doesn't look bad to me.

Just imagine that you look like Sean Connery.

I'd grow it a bit longer, and the sides longer too. Then brush the sides back and fluff up the top a bit. Enjoy it while you have it.

What have you got to lose? (pun only sorta intended) I'd say try the shave...if you don't like it, you could always grow back what you have.

Better in pill form.
Lotion is too labor intensive (two applications daily IIRC)
One pill every morning seems a lot easier.

Along in the same area....What do you guys use for trimming your eyebrows?
Mine grow like crazy and sometimes the lady cutting my hair will ask if I want them trimmed up. Most of the time, they don't and I don't like using a scissors and mirror.

When I joined the forums, I had hair almost down to my waist.

About 10 years ago it started looking stupid with my increasing forehead, so now every 6 or so weeks if the barber can see it above the apron, it gets a #1 buzz across it.

I should really just buy a really good set of clippers but the lady I go to charges me $5 (and then I give her a $5-10 tip, depending on what is in my pocket) and I don't need to worry about anything ...
