He did some great stuff in his prime. Universal Soldier was a good movie. Had Dolph Lundgren in it, too.
Not a movie, but a Volvo truck commerical... done in one take.

This movie on right now (TCM)......and I think this is my fav. scene with John Meillon as Ralph Swain. You may remember Meillon as "Wally" from "Crocodile Dundee" and way before that as the voice in the VB commercials....

Reminds me of Testament (1983). I haven't seen it for a long, long time. But I remember it was powerful and sad.

Sling Blade is an incredible movie. Dwight Yoakam was awesome as the a hole in it. His horrible practice session with his (movie) band was perfect. John Ritter, J.T. Walsh, and Robert Duvall rounded out a great cast.

Right? And the scene right after this one where he calls the cops and sits down to eat a biscuit with mustard...absolutely gut wrenching. His good life out of the looney bin is over and he's back to being a lifer....
This movie is a work of art. (And who knew Dwight Yoakum was bald before they saw Sling Blade? Not me!)

You could probably have only Fantastic Mr Fox on a desert island and be entertained for months if not years discovering nuances of the action and dialog.

^^ both excellent, Herr Oberst!
========= Here is one I saw on opening night. I was in South Florida (Weston) with my girlfriend at the time visiting her parents and sister, who were all originally from Miami. Her Dad was a retired high school football coach in Miami for many years and was a bit connected to many in the sports industry. One of the nights we were there, Mohamed Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee and his wife came over as dinner guests. I guess they were very close friends of the family. I didn't get my photo taken with Mr. Dundee, but he did give me his card and autograph. My girlfriend's sister had been married to a German boxing champion, who had just passed away recently. I was pretty blown away by this movie and will always remember seeing it under some interesting circumstances.

One of the most powerful movies ever made. Top 5 of everything as far as I'm concerned.
