Arcimoto FUV

Anyone have one of these?...https://www.arcimoto.com/

They look to be fun. The $19,900 FUV goes a little over a 100 miles per charge and it tops out at 75 mph.

I was thinking F'Ugly Vehicle

Although not quite as F'Ugly as some of the other "Look at ME" weird little Rent-Me vehicles available in Hawaii.

It's a thing over there.

Hawaii Five-O got in on the action

FUV is for Fun Utility Vehicle....the link leads to their website with various diff models.
They are made in Seattle.

stevej37 02-18-2023 08:32 AM

The editor of Car and Driver tested one in this month's mag.
Said it was a lot of fun.

Thanks.

Seems a motorcycle would be more fun, with the same Utility. (read: none. I mean where do you carry the surf boards? )

Not a huge amount of cargo....but this one is more practical...
https://www.arcimoto.com/flatbed

I think they are over-priced.

island911 02-18-2023 09:21 AM

Interesting...

Golfcars have been a thing in AZ for decades now.

How do these compare to those? Price and utility... clearly having 4-wheels is more stable.

stevej37 02-18-2023 09:38 AM

The link in my first post has all the prices. (of all of their models)
Their selling point is that they all electric....and you can keep up with traffic on the streets.

The loaded utility ones are almost the price of what I paid for my new Civic.

island911 02-18-2023 09:44 AM

Ah, so they have speed advantage over the golfcars.

stevej37 02-18-2023 09:46 AM

^^^ 75 mph.
They really wouldn't be practical for here...too many months of cold weather.

island911 02-18-2023 09:53 AM

Yeah, even the barest-bones Honda Civics have heaters. ..and a few hundred mile range.

Oh, looks like the trikes are build in Eugene, OR. (not Seattle WA)

stevej37 02-18-2023 10:01 AM

^^^ My mistake....I read the location in the C&D mag and messed it up.
And my SI gets over 400 miles per tank. :)

island911 02-18-2023 11:20 AM

All good.. Upper-ish Left coast... same same. ;)

And those Honda's are built in Iowa! :D

stevej37 02-18-2023 11:25 AM

^^^ My Honda salesman said it came from Canada....maybe because of it being an SI?

Ok...I get your comment.:D
