Are 1960s cars now considered "grandpa cars" ?

I think that the OP on this thread counts as one of the most unusual OP's ever posted!

Some sixties cars were always Grandpa cars. Then again, some Grandpas drink bourbon and smoke cigars, so it's all relative.

No. But what do I know, I'm restoring a Corvair made 11 years before I was born.

Not quite sure what the purpose of the OP's post was... could be:
- to show his (amazing) photoshop ability?
- to show his ignorance of older cars?
- to mock folks who are of a certain age on this board?
- to mock cars of a certain era?
- to display his age / maturity level?
- all of the above?
- none of the above?

Just to note: there are many cars from that era that will run circles around some of the 'sporty import' cars of today - reason I bring up 'sporty import' cars is because it is that type of car that is most often associated with ill-done photoshops of bikini clad models. (case in point - the model infront of the Lambo with the rock sticking out of her head...)

Just sayin'

The OP is an odd duck and, I'm pretty sure all of his posts have been odd.

I'll take a 60s "grandpa car" over any of the POS made nowadays.

Last summer I popped in on a national Alfa Romeo event in northern Michigan. The only under retirement age folks there were a couple of children of life long Alfisti. Most car shows that I see are mainly composed of the same or near retirement age folks. The large majority of younger people that are into cars have elected to be into "Rice." Why? Because that's where the better handling hot cars are affordable. Electronics are the in thing and our older cars fit better with our predigital mentality. Those hot young lasses pictured are really into their smart phones and not cars.

So, I get into dance to socialize with other age groups.

The older stuff has its class, but we need to respect the trends of grand daughters and sons.

So, someone photo shopped the owner of a Lamborghini against the background of a 1960's car, and the owner of the 1960's car to be in front of the Lamborghini?

Some cars of the 60's run rings around cars of today!.
The only rings they run relative to cars of today are piston rings.
They were unreliable, unsafe, rust prone, but easy to work on because back then one got plenty of practice doing that!!

True! But driving was fun back then. I love my modern daily drivers, but driving them is, well, pretty sterile.
