Funny update . So at midnight last night I awoke to a noise . After gathering my senses it was the generator running . Hmmm I quickly figured out neighbors had power so it was doing the self test .

That's great but it was supposed to be today at noon 😋 . This morning I went to the generator and flipped through the menu and found the right one . Yep generator dude set it for AM vs PM . Woops 😁 .

So if I set it correctly next Friday at noon she will self exercise. I was happy to hear last night that it DID shutoff after the set time . The Kohler runs for 19 minutes for self test . It starts and runs at a lower RPM for about 4 minutes then ramps up for 10 minutes then goes into cool down for 5 minutes . Pretty neat technology.

Bright sunny day and we just lost power 😩 . But the generator started right up and we are good to go 😁
