Going tomorrow with one of my kids before he moves away. We have IMAX in 70mm here but literally no tickets (or only front row) for all showings this week.


Looking forward to seeing this. I grew up in Oak Ridge Tennessee, which was part of the Manhattan Project where there were three plants, each with a different way to obtain enriched uranium. My mother's family moved there in roughly 1941, right after the Army put up a fence and built a city. A lot of the old buildings are still there, most look like vintage Army buildings, including one church.

My grandfather worked as a pipe fitter at K-25 where they did gaseous diffusion to obtain the enriched uranium. To think of what they did without computers and modern tech is just astounding.

I left there in the late 80s, before people really acknowledged what had gone on in the early years. Now that it is well known, it is cool to realize that it all went on without a lot of fanfare.

This is one of several guard shacks on the roads into/out of the city. Still there today.
