stop oil protesters
A friend and I were shooting the breeze about some of our ridiculous social issues. He has an English wife and told me about the Stop Oil protesters blocking traffic and cops allow this to go on and arrest those who physically remove them off the street to allow traffic to pass through. After watching the vid, I am pisses. Someone may need to pass through to get to the emergency room. I haven't heard about this group yet but they are in the UK, Germany and Australia. Hope they stay out of the US. Funny how they don't go to Russia because they know they will be bashed in their heads with a 2x4 within the first 5 min.

Oh I am told that they slwo disrupt football games, tennis tournaments, and deface or destroy priceless art works. Yet they let them go on.
I hope this isn't too parfy and doesn't sent there. |
That has to be frustrating. Protest peacefully all you want, just don’t get in the way of people.

Best. |
We have vegetarian protestors near me. They try to block traffic in front of the local pig slaughterhouse.
The police have been very aggressive is keeping them on the sidewalk or the median, they aren't allowed to block traffic. One protestor was killed when they were too busy 'protesting' and ignoring where the rear wheels of the truck were going as it turned a corner. These people really don't understand how the world works. Don't want to eat meat? Good, don't eat it. You're not about to convince others to give it up by blocking traffic. I think I eat more bacon because of them. (And because it's delicious). |
Funny how these "protestors" never seem to show up in the most egregious polluting countries like China or India, only Western countries. Weird huh? ;)

This is supposed to be oil or climate protestors in Germany. Those Germans aren't screwing around with them.

We don't have to pick a political side to agree this stuff is idiotic. These dingdongs think the universe revolves around them. If they could actually see just how selfish their behavior is they'd probably be mortified.
|
If they want to be a human speed bump, let them, they will only do so once.
|
The funny thing to me is that by blocking traffic, these morons are 1 causing increased fossil fuel usage (sitting and idling eats up gas) and their "protest" is not effective because they aren't doing anything about fossil fuel usage or motivating anyone else to do anything about it. They are just pissing people off and making folks want to kick their teeth in or drag them off of the road by their hair.

I guarantee y'all one thing - they wouldn't do that here in the northern Va / MD/ DC area. People here will run you over anyway. But stop traffic? Ooooooohhhh nooooooo. We have some of worst commutes, worst traffic in the US.

100% pointless, wast of time and making people with a job late for their job and causing more fuel usage. |
Oh, they've done this in the US. Just not as much.
DC in 2019. Pretty sure we were told to not come to work that day. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QYm41U8q2NU" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

How funny/ironic would it be if the motorists backed their vehicles up to the protestors (many of whom glue themselves to the pavement)- not hitting or striking them of course- and let the vehicles idle with the exhaust right in their faces?
Of course the discussion of how much petroleum products go into their cellphones, clothes, bicycles etc is not a topic they seem to want to engage in. |

There were some protesters that actually glued themselves to the tarmac at an airport. I say, spin the jet around, brakes on, thrusters up. The heat will loosen the glue and the protesters can be on their way to a higher place. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
if you look into the funding of these groups ... its petroleum companies/families.
same with the kids who splashed paint on art. its controlled opposition (ie, its designed to make anti-oil people look dumb). |
And yet, here you all are talking (*****ing) about it. Hmmm. Just sayin'.
