I don’t know the details. He went in, they said oh ****, the doctor said they were going to have to take it all out, he said oh ****, they got him in the operating room that very night (10 pm, emergency basis), the surgeon said this isn’t so bad, and last time I saw him he was several weeks post-that and all was going well.

He pioneered the "reverse" hip replacement. They go in the backside and are able to do it with minimal muscle cutting.

He did both of my father's knees. I'm over there tomorrow for my "GEL ONE" lubricant injections. Trying to hold off for a few more years.

Are the Gel injections helping? I have arthritis in mine, I cycle a lot, mostly road, and that helps, but sometimes after lots of climbing on the Mountainbike they hurt the next day.

I had a dentist appointment later this week. I canceled it.

My doctor said my knee would not benefit from gel injections. Too far gone he said. He couldn’t believe I’ve never had them up till now. I just lived with the pain. Until recently I didn’t pay much attention to it. After hearing the doctor describe how bad my knee is, now it hurts worse than ever. Lol

So, I assume no cortisone shot either? Any discussion of PRP or Stem cells? Can you currently walk down stairs? BTW, how long were you on Meloxicam? Still trying to figure out my path, I can't go down stairs except one at a time. One good knee and one bad, starting about 3 months ago. PT has done nothing for me. Meloxicam was prescribed but wasn't much help, and they took me off it after 6 weeks.

Walking down stairs is extremely painful. Walking up is not bad. As far as meloxicam I’ve been on it specifically for three years. Before that I took celebrex. I don’t realize that it’s working until I skip it for a day. My knee is so far gone I doubt stem cells would help. I’ve got bone spurs all over it.
