The miniature work on Bladerunner was amazing. What an awesome job to have. I expect that there are few model shops left in Hollywood?

CG has sort of killed that. Saw a hobbiest version short ofva car chase that was not bad
My brother has the director's cut of this flick on some high end video disc blue Ray maybe, and a giant TV. I don't think he has ever said no to, want to watch Blade Runner? |
I think good CGI surpasses good modeling. Nothing beats live action when it's possible- look at what Tom Cruise brings to the screen. One reason 2049 is so good for me is that they used a lot of the same talent that contributed to the original. The top reason I like 2049 is the quality of the continuity, the characters, and the story line.

I assumed incorrectly they were obsolete. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sLxxbfsj8IM?si=Pxx6c_T102ZbVsSe" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I watched the original last night and forgot what a visual orgasm it was at the time, and it still holds its own.
your link the the "making of" made it extra special. |
