I love the genuine smile on the young guy's face. He's delighted to have your flat butt along for the day.

and you can tell that his good looks come from his Mama!

7 and 4

I've got headphones on in the first 2 pics because I'm working from home. Those allow me to hear chats on my PC or calls on my cell while still getting to interact with the kiddos a bit.

7 years old and loving and assembling by himself the Lego Creator Expert Haunted House, Ages 18+ and 3231 pieces. He sat down with the book and got to work. In 2 days of working on it a couple hours here and there he'd gotten through 12 out of 18 bags.

Should we get a grandchild, all I want is the same look in the kids eyes posted here in ours.

Can’t fake happiness.

Nicely done, Gents.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your point of view, I'm usually the one behind the camera so no shots of me and my grandsons. I've got twins close by and another back east. Maybe some day...

I don't remember much about Opa except him being a quiet skinny old German man.
The basic but pristine lake cottage was fully run by Gammy.
Yonnie the golden retriever was always outside on the covered porch.

Former head of a major factory division, and thousands of workers essential to a war effort previous, he kept to himself.
Almost invisible otherwise.

He would row the very young me around the lake in a a decrepit old flat bottom rowboat to catch turtles across the distant waters.
I would stand at the very front of the boat, making it harder for him to row, and I would scream "faster grandpa, faster!"
And he would try his best.

Great photos everyone. Thank you.

I don't have any but I'm certainly looking forward to it. "Fingers Crossed" all goes well. :)

My oldest is big enough to row my flat butt around the lake.
