I don’t see myself buying an EV any time soon but based purely on looks, I’d spend my money on the Hummer EV long before the CT or Rivian.

I would want a 3/4 scale version of it if I was looking for a truck.

And TESLA has now recalled nearly all of them due to the aforementioned problem of the outer sst panels coming loose or peeling off. Seems that they used the wrong adhesive in the assembly process.

The Cybertrucks have been recalled eight times since being launched in November of 2023. Three of the recalls could be handled by over-the-air software updates, but five required a visit to a repair facility for corrective action.

My graphics guy, who had a Model X, now has a cyber truck.
I have not had the opportunity to check it out yet.

There's a few running around my neighborhood. They are ugly and cumbersome. The "entitled" drive them around here for status. Piece of junk IMHO. I have driven in other Teslas and think they ride like a cheap car.

I went from never having seen one in person, to seeing oodles of them several times per week in my little world. A Tesla dealer near me has them ... sometimes a bunch ... right next to the Lowes Pro/Builders entrance .... with all the REAL trucks parked outside....

They do get attention ... I can't help it either ... like a train wreck .

See some out & about being driven too ...

Whatever sinks yer canoe .

Me think "I'd like to meld a rolling coal type chassis and a cybertruck together."
I'd rip every g#$%da#@$mn computer out of cybertruck and throw all that apple I phone crap in a protected wetland.
In would go a leaded fuel beast from hell, EMP proof type wiring. Points. No electronic ignition. Wheel bearings lubricated by rotting possum inards.

Up came this ad for breadwagon. Wheelbase looked about right... but...

Who am I kidding? I could NEVER do that to breadwagon!

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1797266474462103/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ab1dc7616-3792-4590-8d96-1c11ff2cbaff

BREADWAGON
wants to eat your neighbor's cybertruck.

(in other news, a coworker with a tesla didn't have her smart phone or something and needed a ride home since she couldn't "sync" with her car. I don't know the details- just that another coworker gave her a ride home. I had enough stress yesterday. No extra "effs" to give. ) I feel we are setting ourselves up for impending cylon invasion with this carp.

Gimme BREADWAGON Dagnabbit!!!!!

I’m in St.Petes for the month, I see them every day. Some have been wrapped. They’re a pretty large vehicle.
I don’t get the look of them

I know you guys will hate this but:

I daily drive a Cybertruck and love it!

Ok, it is weird to look at but I like different. I, certainly, don't do "normal." Heck, I am a woman on a Porsche car site who has actually done the work to maintain a 20+year old Porsche.

Young people love the Cybertruck. The looks, questions, and thumbs up from people under 30 would shock you.

I wasn't sure how I would like such a big vehicle but it doesn't feel big with the 4 wheel steering. The drive is really comfortable, and the steer-by-wire is amazing. The truck bed is big enough for a trip to Lowes or Home Depot for materials. It has really been a great car so far with almost 4000 miles of driving.

Very cool, Steph!

I think they are cool as hell, myself. Would love to have one myself one day. Right now for me it's motorcycles...plus I already have my '02 Silverado and my '97 Volvo 850 wagon, so have what's needed for hauling stuff around.

I took these two pics a while back. They were behind me coming down N. Peninsula and when we caught the light it gave me a chance to jump out and snap a couple pics.

We exchanged "thumbs ups"!

I've been in and driven the S, 3 and X. I never sensed cheap.

As to the small handful of them (C Trucks) in my area I feel sorry for the owners. They are perfect candidates for the modern day Emperors New Clothes tale.

I think the Cybertruck is kinda nutty, but people buy stuff I think is nutty all of the time.

You do you.
