Circular Saw blade for cutting through 3-Tab Roofing?
Have (had) a ~11x14' shed out in one of my pastures.
Neighbors tree fell on it crushed flat. It has standard 3 tab roofing nailed down to 1/2 or 3/4" plywood roof sheeting So I either, Burn in in place (3-Tab would make a smokey stinky mess I'd imaging) but that also leaves a ton of nails in the pasture which is a big no no. Or I saw it into manageable sized piece and take it to the dump on my flatbed trailer. So which skill saw blade would you suggest to cut through the 3 tab? standard blade or?

Standard older carbide blade…last load to the dump put it on the pile and get a new blade. Nothing special or hard about the shingles but they will cover the blade in “tar”.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Roof-Zone-Serrated-Roofers-Spade-with-wide-heel-Steel-Handle-13874/301759220 This thing.
Its worth your back bending over on a roof cutting up small pieces with a worm drive but if you must, https://www.bigrocksupply.com/store/p/6212-Roofers-Carbide-Circular-Saw-Blade-7-1/4-in-14-Teeth.aspx That pitch fork thingy will remove a lot of the nails. Start from bottom up. My roofer will have 5-6 guys strip a roof with those simple tools in half a day while the dump truck is parked on the driveway as they pitch the roof into it. |

I switched to a hook blade and finished the job. The next roofing job, I learned to cut the shingles to length as I installed them.

When you pull up the roof it will break into manageable pieces to haul. Get a roof fork.

That's a small shed. Just go Rambo on it with a crowbar and a sledge.
