While we're on the subject, is there a reasonably priced scan tool you guys like? I'm seeing some love for the Foxwell on the forums. I have a standalone MB Star for the Benz's but no Porsche OBD knowledge.

Thanks. That's a rebranded Foxwell NT510, gets great reviews, has been superseded by the NT530. They're about $150, and its 80 bucks to add another make's software.
I'm leaning towards a NT 710 which is the same OS but with a tablet interface for about $50 more.

Nice to hear there is a Indy in Charlottesville. I was there in 2009/10 for my LLM and there was only the Dealer or at least that is all I could find. I had my 993 in for some service and they broke the front windscreen taking out the driver seat. Sheepish phone call to me fishing for me to absolve them, they were totally fishing for me to pay some or all. They ended up paying for the glass. Quote:
When I replaced them, the guy at Discount Tire told me that Pirelli come with less tread from new. I went with Michelin instead. My new to me Panamara GTS came with a brand new set of Pirelli at a cost of about $2,000 so I'm not complaining too much. Love that color!!!

This guy is actually in Gordonsville. So is DAS now (of rollbar fame, but they do race prep and general work). My guy is young and not sure he has aircooled knowlege, but is good with the later stuff.
It amazes me how much Panamera you get for the $$'s. Its another temptation for me...

The Land Rover dealer had it listed for $28k. I gave them my 996 and a small amount of money. Very happy. Me and 911s may have run our course together. The Panamera is great blend of power, road holding, and comfort. Just a scooch bigger than a 911 ![]() On a sad note: the 996 ended up at a buy here pay here lot on the wrong side of town. I really don't think there is a buyer in that market and it will suffer. I feel bad almost like it was my kid or dog
