Blood pressure reduction and forearm flexing?
My missus found something about using forearm exercise to reduce BP. I think she found some Dr promoting it, and the Dr promoted using a dynamometer (not that kind, this kind)
https://www.topendsports.com/testing...ometer-300.jpg I think the reason for using the grip dyno was to scientifically monitor the amount of effort put into the exercises (I think she said you're supposed to reduce your effort 30% from max or 30% of max or something). Then she also read something that said that just gripping a stress ball was effective. She's wondering if anyone has any experience with either for the purpose of BP reduction. And apparently, it's a thing. I haven't read whatever she read, but this was the first thing that popped up in a search. https://systematicreviewsjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13643-018-0876-5 |
^^^ I've seen various youtube videos with contests using them.
That's all I know about them. |
Any consistent exercise, especially aerobic, is likely to reduce BP.

Here's the video that she watched/found.
