A real life "Fast and Furious" 1990 Civic? Reads scary fast...

Makes my 200hp Civic look weak....although I've haven't wished for more hp yet. (too old I guess)

I wish they would have explained how they fit a drive shaft into a car with no tunnel.

cockerpunk 01-23-2024 11:46 AM

those early civics are scary good cars. like, honda hasnt made anything better than those cars in decades.

john70t 01-23-2024 02:38 PM

Son, you've got to pump those numbers up.
(but I'd still take the Honda. That was my favorite car to ever own)

Makes more sense then a front wheel drive 300hp civic.

AWD and scoots. What’s not to like.

1990 Civic wagon had the option of "RealTime4WD" (RT4WD).

https://www.netcarshow.com/honda/1990-civic_wagon/

Quote:

This was available as FWD and RealTime4WD. The RT4WD versions featured the MPFI D16A6 engine paired with either a 6-speed manual (with a super-low gear left of first) or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The FWD versions featured the DPFI D15B2 engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. RT4WD wagons had white steel wheels with matching center caps.

They usually cut out the old stuff and put the whole crv subframe and rear floor from the crv in there

stevej37 01-23-2024 05:40 PM

^^^ That makes sense.

My 98 Prelude also has the 'double wishbone suspension' that they mention for the fit. There is no room for a drive shaft.
I didn't realize the wagon was fitted differently.

That's not a honda, this is a HONDA

You guys heard of Bisimoto. He built an elec. 935 as well as other old fashion 911 turbos with huge HP. Well, this is his early project, a ....

1000 hp mini-van with a baby seat??

I do like his bisi exhaust systems though. Thinking of adding it to my 84 Carrera.

Sorry for going off in a tangent from Honda thread but these are for Steve.

He was and probably still a Honda turner. A lot of the local, old Porsche guys don't respect him due to his Honda background. I have seen that car go in person and it look just mean as heck. Then there's the E 935. I have to give credit where it is due. That is one baaad mofo

^^^ Thanks
That blue 75 is a beauty. HTH did he get it down to 2450 lbs with him in it?

look 171 01-23-2024 09:03 PM

What you dislike the E 935? :)

Yeah, that blue turbo looks the part and it looks ever meaner when driven behind it. Compared to my 930, my poor cars looks limp wristed humble little 460 hp wimp even though we both may have the same 315 rear tires.

I am not sure how many pounds. Even with 3500 lbs, and that HP, it will go like hell.

Alan A 01-23-2024 09:40 PM

You can also google civette if you like silly fast modded hondas
