I Got Pulled Over & Seriously Hassled....Pic!
...But it was only because the officer owned one when he was in his 20s and had not seen one on the road in decades.
He didn't care there was a hood missing! We shared a few laughs and some memories. Good times! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1708693721.jpg My best! Yasin |
I have only ever been stopped one time in my 911, back in the early 2000s. I was on a local turnpike a cop pulled in behind me and turned on his lights. I found a safe place to pull over, and the cop approached me and said we have reports of a white late model 911 as stolen. I explained my car is a 1985 model and not a late model by a long shot. He then asked if he could see the engine, and we talked about 911s for a few minutes. I let him sit in it, and he loved it. I told him we have a few cops and retired cops with Porsches in the club.

HPD did this? Amazing. Yasin that car is gorgeous.
A Texas DPS officer and I had a similar chat roadside after he pulled me over in the 911 |
Here in SoCal the unspoken rule is if you are pulled over in your Porsche speeding and DON"T have an 11-99 License plate frame, that 20 mph over the speed limit for reckless driving can become 19 mph.
Being prepared helps and its just the right thing to do. https://chp11-99.org/ |

Yes and it was HPD. |
I got approached by people much more in ‘78 280Z than I do in the 930. It’s unfortunate.
I’ve never been pulled over by a cop just to check out my car but I did get pulled over on my roommate’s 500 Interceptor. I told the cop I’d seen him at the motorcycle junkyard I worked at. As I’m fumbling around trying to find an insurance card he said, oh I’m not giving you a ticket and then proceeded to ask if the junkyard had this and that part for HIS 500 interceptor. |
