The Famous BaT '99 Caddy AI Slop...

Hi Everyone- I suspect the majority have already seen this (now) infamous withdrawn listing. For those who have not, here is the AI Slop glory...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-cadillac-deville-21/

I do commend BaT for keeping this listing up, and I have a feeling they will be super vigilant now as well.

As always, the comments are fantastic. Also, I do kinda want some cobblestone floormats too.

First I’ve seen this, crazy! Looking through the photos you can see a lot of weirdness and inconsistency. Example number 255 of why I would never buy a car sight unseen. Also, exactly WTF is that car doing on BaT to begin with?

Hi onewhippedpuppy- my favorites are the changing passenger side wheels and the awesome missing A-Pillar!

I hadn't heard about it. It's hilarious!

I wasn't interested, or patient enough to go through all of the photos, but yeah, missing A-pillar and the "cobblestone wall to wall carpeting" is fantastic!

I read somewhere that the person who listed it did it on purpose and wanted to see how far it would get. I do not know if this is true or not. It certainly is a gloriously flaming-hot mess.

I missed this one...hilarious.

It's like the cartoon "find the differences" pictures from where we were kids.

I saw this on another forum. One of the members there took a picture from Craigslist and... got to admit, I wouldn't have noticed.

Quote:
Just to show how easy it is to do it, check out this $1,100 Toyota Matrix I found on Craigslist. Looks pretty nice!
And it didn't take some whiz bang software or prompt, all I did was drop the original image into ChatGPT and say "make this car look brand new, ensure image still looks like it was taken with a cell phone." The only "ha ha ChatGPT so bad" goof I see is screwing up some of the characters on the license plate which I could easily fix if I gave it another pass but this is literally the first result out of the gate and it looks pretty good. Now imagine how much better it's going to look in a year or two.
