Here's 5 of them that are currently sharing one of my storage units with one of my cars........ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1717978627.JPG |
Baz, have you checked out RRC's channel in which he does a nut and bolt restoration on a Honda VF400?
Amazing detail and the set up he has makes me wonder how a person gets in so deep. Best Les |
Here's an idea to get all 11 bikes in a picture: Get 10 other Pelican motorcyclists (vetted as real riders) to fly in and take a lap of Florida on Baz' Intercepters, maybe beginning or ending at Daytona Beach for Bike Weeks. You've got until February to organize! (But first we need a good name for this tour....)

Minimum number of entrants to make this event happen is only 7. We'll call it "Wheels of Bazza's Fortune" as homage to the legendary Pat Sajak! :D |

Is the maintenance on these as much as old cars?
|
Not if you've got enough of them they only get ridden a couple of times each year. :D
Best Les |

lol.....how'd they get that pic of me? :D

A week ago at our mid winter dinner at pistol club one of the guys said he's just got a VFR750. I told him internet buddy Baz has a dozen or more of them. WHAT? he replied..

the litre bikes are famously problematic. ........ not much of a problem if you have a large stable.

An interesting history of the V4

Not unlike other brands.......the owners of these bikes have their own preferences of which years or generations they prefer. Mine will always be the 1st & 2nd Gen bikes - plus the 3rd Gen a close second. There's no disputing the advances in technology but my goodness what they did to the body work on those "newer" versions (for me anyway) is very off putting....no soul! I just finished replacing a faulty fuel pump for my '84 and will take her out for a test ride shortly. I find working on these bikes as rewarding as when I did the same on my first Porsche - an '81 SC Targa. You tend to stop every once in a while - step back - and just admire the simplistic beauty...... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1723645812.JPG |
