that's impressive. Is it a resto-mod with a modern engine/drivetrain?

I'm picturing the boat equivalent of a 1920s car with an LS swap. LOL

Pretty cool. They could very well have the original engines and drive trains, stuff was made to last 100 years ago.
This is an 18" wooden kit model of an old work boat I've had for years. It's motorized and can run around in the pool

Some designs just "work" right.

There are lots of C-47 AKA DC3s in service today. First built in 1936. And that is an airplane not just a boat. Virtually every active airport in the free world has on on the field in service as a cargo aircraft. Nothing made today can replace it.

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress first flew in 1952, and it is still in active use by the USAF. And it has no replacement. It might well be in service as an active weapon military aircraft for 100 years.
