1966 Mustang, White Letters yes or no on the tires?

I am curious what everyone thinks.

As mentioned my 17yo son and I are getting my '66 Mustang back on the road for the first time since he was born. I have had it in my garage up on the lift....

One of the things we are doing is putting 15x6 and 15x7 Torque Thrust D wheels on it with some BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. Not a lot of options in the 15 inch size, and it had 16x9 Torque Thrusts D's on the back but they rubbed really bad on the quarter lip and I do not want to cut/roll them.

The car will just be a cruiser.

I have seen lots of pictures and some guys put the white lettering on the outside, others do not.

Here is the tire from the BFG website.

And the wheels

What do you all think?

With TorqThrust-Ds, yes, white lettering (assuming staggered tires, or different wheel offset front/rear wider/deeper in the back than the front?).

Not the best picture, but the car is maroon. You can tell how off the back spacing is on the 16x9 in this one too.

Never a fan of white letters out. One vote for no.

Its running a hopped up 6, 3x1 Webers on an Offenhauser intake and headers currently, V8 trans and rear end with 3.73's. Will be disc brakes on all four corners.

Its light and goes for what it is.

I go back and forth.....

No from me too.
That car with a lowered stance will look great with those wheels.
My brother built a '65 'vert with Global West from a-arms and a Kurri 9" rearend. Lowered to what the racers run when set up right. Sorry I can't find a picture of it.

The only reason to get T/As is for the whitewalls.

Silly question.

Thanks so far guys!

Yeah I thought about using some of the Global West stuff, but at this point I want it back on the road so he can drive it before heading to college and he is doing the majority of the work so stock a-arms etc. with the exception of the doing the Granada drop spindles and SN95 brakes.

Two votes, or is it 3?
