Quick followup, knee is A-ok four days into the ski camp. Both knees (and plenty of other stuff) hurt after day one; I drove home holding a ziplock of ice on my knees. That was the last peep of protest from the knees, they have been fine since. Other stuff is generally holding up, actually I feel less tired and sore each day. The four Advil/day may be helping :-)

Darn, now it's my turn.
It looks like I've got a woman's tit on my right kneecap. About two or three months ago I fell over and landed on my knee. It wasn't that sore so I ignored it. Still feels a bit sore but I put that down to being an old guy and things take time to heal. But a couple of days ago it's swollen up. Dr google told me it's Prepatellar bursitis and not to worry about it too much. Jyl, how ong before yours went away? |

Bursitis isn't usually a big deal. Although being swollen sounds like a PITA. Besides the usual oral NSAIDs, you can also (mentioned earlier in this thread) use topical stuff like Voltaren or Pennsaid. Our daughter is a PA for a top orthopedic surgeon in Houston, and has been a PA for orthopedic surgeons for ~13 years. |
Thanks Steve. I'll stop squeezing it and ignore people staring at it.
