28 years since I've been out in the trenches . its freaking clown world .
I'm meeting a nice lady tonight. A few of my buds will be there with Harleys . I was just gonna take my Sanford and son work truck, but spent the day cleaning up my old slug ( probably for sale soon ) , and my buds carrera that has lived with me and under my care for the last 20 years .
. It's such a nice summer night here in Pa. Roof down on the Carrera would be a sweet way to get there and back, or a nice boost run on my way there always puts a little spring in my step . . She is not riding with me, just meeting me there .

A woman shouldn't care what you're driving (unless the car screams "barely employed"). A lot of woman do like to see that you're doing reasonably okay financially.
However, a Porsche could make a statement either way:

or

flashy showoff

Maybe Dixie will speak up - but she's also a car girl and may lean towards the P car....

Top down. Makes you unique, shows you have interests, and can pay your bills.

Bonus points of you don't utter, "so, are we gonna have sex?"

I'd have no problem taking the Porsche, but I would park it around the corner in an inconspicuous spot.
I would not park it right in front, as if showing it off.

Tonight is not about what you drive. If she sees it, it should be no more than an afterthought.
If she asks/talks about it, I would downplay it and try to change subjects.

I say take the Porsche for one simple reason: It's fun to drive!

I really like the idea of using the daily driver for a first , second, third (?) date; surprise her with a ride in the drop-top 911 - that she doesn't even know you own - for a nice long drive on a warm evening, after the first slumber party.

Or, present her with a pretty scarf in a long box wrapped with a bow; imagine Grace Kelly.
