I took the plunge!!!
Well fellow Pelicanheads,,,,,I became engaged as of last night. But never fear, we have an agreement that the Porsche stays in the family. She loves the car which is great, but I believe I will need to purchase one for her in the near future. Unless, someone out there really wants to give us one as a wedding gift;) J/K,,,,

CONGRADS!!!

Congratulations! Best wishes to you and your future bride!
|
Hey congrats!
..and if it's also a good reason to get another 911, so much the better! |
Congratulations! Wives are great! All kinds of uses; bleeding brakes, pushing cars, checking throttle adjustment, steadying tippy 911 motors when you move them, etc.

You will be in my prayers. :)

Thanks for all the support...but, nobody mentioned that now when I am covered in grease and oil I now have someone to help open the beer!http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat6.gif

In the OT forum is a thread called "new smilies". Copied it from there. |
Congratulations! Married life is great, I think? Were going on 20 years. There is some stuff that you will learn to just let slide though, You can think it but just don't say it. You'll know when you've goofed up as the beer can will have to much momentum behind it if it even shows up at all :D
Oh yeah if she asks you if her butt looks to big? the answer is always NO. And get your aniversary date tatooed on your arm, or I use it as a code on a garage door opener or something. Cheers and have fun SmileWavy |
Moses,
That is hilarious,,,upon further approval I will post some pics. Thanks everyone. |
Congrats Jimmy.
If you need anything for your cab PM me. I have a 87 cab sitting in the basement. I used it as a parts car. Not a lot left but you are welcome to come and have a look. I'm in Kennesaw. Paul |
Congrats. Been married for the past 6 years and we just had our first child in March. No matter what others say it has been great. As others have said there will be some not so smooth times but you learn to work things through.
Funny thing is my wife had our wedding ring engraved with the anniversary date. Not that I would ever forget but if I do I can always take the ring off and look ;) |
Congrats. Been married for 4 years now. First kid on the way. Marrying my wife was easily the wisest decision I've ever made. Pick a winner and stick with her. Sounds like you're all set.

Grats...I was married in June of 2002. Best year of my life. Married a great women and got a 911. Have fun!

LOL I forgot about that thread. ROFLMAO. I feel bad for laughing at another guy's misfortune but it is so ironic it belongs in a hollywood script.
Of course he's not the only one to go in the optomist and come out covered in doo doo, I remember my first marriage. Longest 13 days of my life! Oh, and congrats BTW. I've been married 11 years now, the wife hates cars and porsches in particular but she has enough smarts to not get between me and my cars (very often). I do my thing, she does her thing, it works. |
One word prenuptial.....who gets the Porsche?
|
God, I love that thread. It's probably the only time I've provided insightful, useful commentary on this board. :D
Congratulations, BTW. Married life is great--with the right partner. |
