Yellowstone (TV)

Okay, as usual I'm late to viewing, but this is one freakin' awesome show! I started watching it for free in MX, and now I'm hooked. It's suspenseful, filled with twists, some great scenes, and stunning scenery.

Plus, Kevin Costner looks hot in those jeans, and as for Rip? Sweet Baby Jesus, if men look like that in Montana? I'm a movin!

What similar shows do you recommend?

Ok, but now you have to watch 1883 and 1923....they are all very, very good....

I put them at #3 on my most favourite list - after Breaking Bad and Outlander.

Good show, one I have actually watched

I like Montana a lot, rough Winters.

Guy I knew the best from Montana looked a lot like Mel Gibson if his hair was a little lighter and way more buff

I watched a couple seasons. Mostly because Beth is fun to watch. Somehow got bored with it.

I think most men desire a Beth right up until they find they have a tiger by the tail.

I also think most women think we're Beth, but thank God we're really not.

Probably right on both counts. I think the story line gets so far out it becomes , like superheroes that can get away with anything. I can only take so much of the superhero thing. It is fun up to that point. And what ever you do, dont accept a ride to the train station.:D:D

Someone from Florida wouldn’t last one winter in Montana. Or Colorado high country.

I think you're going to like Teeter, Dixie... Played by Michael Landon's daughter, Jennifer.

Great clip. Beth always makes me smile.

I watched Horizon last night, basically all character development but dang the locations the movie is based in, wow.

Real cowboys wear Wrangler or Ariat not Levis.

Watch Longmire

Longmire is a good suggestion. I thought 1923 was excellent.

I just met Teeter, and feel kindred. I'm all piece-and-love until I ain't, then my Teeter comes out. Lol

I stuck with Yellowstone (can't imagine getting bored with it) and was glad I did... the writing is excellent and the characters are developed well.

Fun fact for you, Dixie... the guy who plays Rip, Cole Hauser, portrayed Benny in the fun and classic Richard Linklater teen flick "Dazed and Confused" (1993). That's him in the long sleeved t-shirt. I assume you've seen it.

Get out! It looks like two different people. Then again, the movie is over 30 years old so I guess he should look different.

If you've got nothing going on this weekend - Pluto TV is streaming every episode this weekend. Not on-demand, so you have to watch the episode they're streaming at the time, and there's no easy way to save and watch them later.

I'm going to the Minnesota State Fair and eat some 3000 calorie concoction on a stick.

Thank you for the tip. It's much appreciated.

I watched the first three episodes of 1883 on a flight from Vegas to Atlanta. Holy crap, what a great series, I've gotta see where I can watch the rest.

The opening sequence is unforgettable.

A bit off topic...

My dad lives in Montana and I had to do some work in Bozeman for a few days about a year and a half ago. Some of the long time generational locals are not thrilled with the way 'Yellowstone' has captured the fancy of wealthy out of state buyers who've seen the show and want a piece of Big Sky living. Property values have skyrocketed and have priced a lot of long time residents out of being able to buy a home in the town they grew up in. Of course that story has been happening all over the place but from what I hear from people in MT, 'Yellowstone' has accelerated the pace.
