I did not. It was for 22 years. Ended a little more than ten years before the Salem Witch Trials per your link. Folks were a little uptight.

Speaking of witches, below is the Alien chest-burster scene of my childhood. Did not care for it one bit.

Know whats funny? They say they don't know when Christ's Birth was.
But we do know when he was executed and how old he was for a certain.
He was 33.5 years old and of course this happened in the Spring.'So, he had to been born in the Fall.
Not in the Winter.

Far more so than these images could ever capture. To anyone who holds Christmas, and the promise it represents in their hearts, when (or even if) these sorts of decorations hit the shelves is pretty meaningless. Hard for me to get worked up about any of it.

In the same vein as my response to Shaun, no one who really cares about Christ's birth and the promise it has to offer cares one whit whether it was in the spring, fall, or winter. Cases have been made for all of these, but it matters not in the least. Mere distraction.

As far as his death, historical events surrounding this incident are often used to place his age between 32-34. But he could have been as old as 40. We simply do not know and, again, such quibbling is merely a distraction. Folks who would like to demonstrate that they "know something" about all of this often fall into meaningless arguments regarding irrelevant specifics.

Next thing you know, you will try to tell us that He rode an Evo... ;)

It kind of matters or no one would have been expecting his arrival.
Some 2000 prophecies pointed to his coming.
But you are correct, it all means very little to most people.

2000 prophesies is honestly hard to believe (IM NOT ARGUING - you fight too much) given 2000 years have gone by. I watched a YouTube vid about Christ's existance and it stated (after the work performed) that Christ probably existed. It's really had to make statements of certainty on the subject.

It is worthy of note that his birth is the foundation of this planet's calendar. The exact day maybe not so important.

FWIW, I sat for 15 years in a Lutheren church reciting the Nicene and Apostles Creed thinking that we were far more enlightened and upbeat than Catholics. Little did I know we were the second most boring Christian denomination.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/freak.gif

On Topic:

There has to be significant margin in those super-tall Haloween skeletons.

Less off topic:

Like others, I like Haloween and Thanksgiving the best.

OK, enough of me. Carry on and have a good day.

It's still interesting if you do not know.

It's by no means an unbelievable surprise.

I believe the word you're searching for is HalloThankChrisYear..OR... Festivus.

Fight too much?
LOL disagree maybe.
If one reads through the book of Psalms alone, there is quite a few pointing to his coming.
If you would like me to post a few of the prophecies I can.
