A simple kitchen faucet for the RV
So my wife and I purchased a used 5th wheel trailer at the end of the season . So we are going through it to make it ours . The kitchen faucet is all plastic and I have pulled it .
So we are looking for a replacement. The requirements are . 1. Has to be two handle . 2. Has to be high arc/tall spout . 3. Has to be 2 hole as the marble top only has 2 holes drilled . 4. Prefer satin SS/pewter finish or dark bronze . 5. Has to be brass/metal . The stickler is the 2 hole mount . Seems like everything has a sprayer so 3 hole needed . We have gone to Lowes/HD/Ace with no luck . Today went to local plumbing supply house nothing . Looked online at Delta/Moen/American Standard and Price Pfister . No luck . Also tried Amazon and other online retailers with no luck . All RV websites I have found only sell plastic . I can't believe how difficult this has been . As a last resort I could drill a 3rd hole but really don't want to risk cracking the top . It is a standard 8 " spacing . Any suggestions ? |
I'm not a plumber so just spitballin' here.
Is there a reason you have to install the sprayer? Can't it just be blocked off at the mixing valve? Or, are you adamant about not using a single handle faucet and then using the second countertop hole for the sprayer? There's a lot of nice single lever kitchen faucets! |
^^^ Unfortunately the " stub " that the sprayer hose hooks to extends down past the base of faucet . So even if I capped it I need the center hole for clearance .
|
Oh, ok. That makes sense.

A single handle won't look right , the faucet will either be to the left or the right of the sink bowl divider . Again because of the 2 hole 8 inch spacing .

Might have found a solution . Our local Home Depot has the chrome version of this faucet in stock . I went and looked at it this morning and confirmed it WILL work on a 2 hole counter top. Per the link below a brushed SS finish is available to order with quick delivery .
I also found several commercial Moen faucets that will work but they are chrome . I will call Moen tomorrow to see if different finishes are available . At least there are some possible solutions . https://www.homedepot.com/p/Delta-Foundations-2-Handle-Standard-Kitchen-Faucet-in-Stainless-21987LF-SS/203898909 |
Just drill a center hole and use the available cover that comes with a lot of single stalkfaucets to cover the other two holes. Home deodorant sells diamond tipped hole saws. Have done this myself in the past.

I would get that Delta 2 handle.

I tried calling Moen help line twice this morning but wait times were ridiculous. So I sent an email asking about different finishes for a few chrome faucets they have . Should have an answer tomorrow . If they don't have anything I will buy the Delta . Actually I found on the Delta site they sell " refurbished " model of the one I posted the link of for $46.15 with a 10 year warranty . It's disposable at that price .
