Maybe they can ship it over here to drive on the Angel Crest Highway...

It would never make it into my garage...and my approach is nearly flat.:)

Has a Batmobile vibe to it! That definitely sounds like a V8, not a turbocharged V16.

stevej37 01-08-2025 05:56 PM

^^^ Correct. I read the story after I posted and the one pictured is a demo with a V8

The link tells more.

one of the comments from the linked story....
"The car would 'bottom out' on a cigarette butt."

The famous 917 30 with 1,400 HP running on huge race slicks could spin the tires from any point from turn to turn. The only place they could plant their foot was on long straights.

One of my friends had a Viper he like to run at DEs and he said in the dry, with his gummy tires he could make the rear tires spin in 4th gear at any time he wanted to.

5,000 HP would be useless in any car except for going super fast, few tires can go 300. 348 would be an super mega extreme tire.

Looks like a WEC car. Much doubt that the v16 would ever achieve that HP output on an actual road.

I'm curious about those tires in the pic.
What are they and why the diff colors?
