The qualifying was very enjoyable to watch . The fast 6 was back and forth for pole . A few surprises thrown in . Race tomorrow should be a good one .

The short-life alternate tires should add a joker factor to the race.

Interesting race and congratulations to the winner . The fight for podium finishes the last 10-15 laps was good . Overall I enjoyed the race . A few notes to Fox.
1. Overall the announcement team in the booth and the pits did well . 2. Way too many commercials . 3. Commercial split screen was horrible . The split screen showing the race was too small . Clean that up and do a 50/50 split . I am glad the season has started and I hope Fox will do some tweeking of the viewing experience . Looking forward to the next race at Barber .

Enjoyed the race and the coverage. A step up from last year and it will get better.

I don't know why people complained about Diffey's excitement level, I found Buxton just as bad.
The graphics over the aeroscreen bar? Meh. Too much info, and it makes the cockpit view look like a video game. One thing that really annoys me-Peacock had replays available on demand, with Fox you have to set a dvr. I usually watch practice in the eve, not real time. On a positive note, it looks like a couple teams (ECR in particular) have made competitive strides. And poor Herta, once again a stellar drive killed by pit work.

Those that started on the alternates got the lucky card on the first lap. That's Indycar for ya.

I thought Buxton was completely tolerable - like Diffey with 10 less cups of coffee before air time. Hate the cockpit graphics. Overall, I'm seeing a general NASCARification theme from Fox. No big deal though. Solid race. I think if Fox attracted any new viewers to Indycar, they saw a really good race.
Did anyone watch the race on YouTube 'Indycar On Fox'? I did not, but as soon as the race was over, I went on YouTube and it was streaming live. I wonder if they are streaming the races live on YT until they get their own platform setup?

I wanna like Indycar more. I remember fondly the era before the IRL split and the Andretti/Zanardi times... These days it feels more artificial than ever to me, the obvious bad tire nobody wants, the yellows, tons of new names I never heard about whose talent is unknown. I think F1 goes too far at times with VSC to retain drivers the advantage and gap their speed gave them, Indycar goes too far negating the same advantage. A little too much luck with timing and frequency of yellows. I'm glad it's back, Buxton talks too much, as usual, but I cannot shake the feeling it's more show than meritocracy race over race. At the championship level it seems to even out.

It wasn't all Diffy. The other 2 talking heads get too worked up as well. I don't like how Bell and Hinch try to tell you want the drivers are thinking or saying as if they can read their minds.

They've apparently been told to tone down the sparing at least.
