Don't feed gremlins after midnight...

This is an important thought experiment about time.

So, there are lots of things that are "time specific". The witching hour is 3am. Don't feed gremlins after midnight. There are many more, I'm sure.

But...let's say that you have a gremlin in your house, and you live in Boise City OK (in the panhandle). It's 12:05AM at your house, so you can't feed that gremlin. BUT...if you drive like 30 minutes NORTH or WEST, it's now suddenly 11:05PM!! That gremlin can now safely eat food. Why is it that the paranormal rules of feeding gremlins CHANGES suddenly, just because of our arbitrary time zones?

Another example. The witching hour of 3am, the time when you better be home safe in bed because the bad juju is most powerful. But...it's ALWAYS 3AM somewhere on the planet! Every single second of every single day is 3AM somewhere! Does that mean that it's ALWAYS the witching hour? And, for that matter, it's ALWAYS both SAFE and UNSAFE to feed gremlins?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Being Pazuzu, don't you already know the answer?

Arbitrary and subjective definitions of "Time"

Dismissive when you factor in the missing day every four years and non Base-10 means of counting.
And then "time zones". They change. Depending. Some countries don't have them.
The definition of reality.
Now they are really pushing it.

Sun is up. Sun is down.
Much better..

"And the darkest hour is just before dawn "

My interpretation is the time factor is only relevant in the exact space occupied by one's fevered brain. The rest of us can rest easy.

Mars is currently at opposition so Paz may be under the influence of a celestial energy granting him special insight. I'm taking notes.

I’m not saying Paz is a alien.

But Paz is a alien.

The same argument can be used on the time shift every spring when we set the clocks back. Suddenly 12:00 AM becomes 11:00 PM right at home. You don't even have to drive across state lines.

The good news is no one on this planet has ever had a real gremlin to feed. And no, the cars named Gremlin don't count, as they are cars not little imaginary monsters. So I don't worry about them at all.

"It's 5 o'clock somewhere." Thank God.

Midnight in your soul happens too.
Obviously, you got the Blues

I have considered this prior as well and found it quite troubling.

Tangententially related, and equally concerning to me is the violation of conservation of mass that occurs in a lot of these translations

Surely the hulk weighs a lot more than Bruce, transformers robots are more massive than vehicles, etc. Where does the mass come from?

I woke up at 3am for a pee. I didn't see any gremlins, so I certainly wasn't going to put food out for them.

Even if I did see some gremlins they could wait for 7am to be feed.

stevej37 01-16-2025 10:22 AM

I don't feed anything after dark....but at 8 am the birds are all over the feeder and the suet cakes.
I have two Pileated Woodpeckers that I can hear from inside the house. They are loud!

Cajundaddy 01-16-2025 10:41 AM

Just an observation, but driving home from a gig at 3AM is the time I was most likely to see gremlins with backpacks and bicycles checking car doors and rifling mailboxes in the neighborhood. If I call the cops then I need to stay up until they arrive, they do nothing, take a report, question why I am still up, bla bla blah. Just one anecdotal data point.

I no longer play gigs that late, and I now live in an area with far fewer night gremlins.

The next Super New Moon is on March 29, 2025 (UTC) when the Moon is near its closest approach to Earth.
https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/moon/super-full-moon.html

Because on the intersectional conflux of gravitational spheres, we will be at our lightest 'weight' to the forces keeping us on this planet.
Every step will be, in fact, closer to moon-walking backwards. Like Superman reversing time by spinning the earth.
Hee hee hee. Come on. Shadubeh.
