volvo xc40 any advice ?
looking to buy one for the lady?
anyone with concerns or regrets? |
my wife has the FWD B4 Model. It is a really nice car....solid You need to force restart the console screen every once in a while. Also, the mild hybrid system makes it a little more difficult to drive it smoothly...but only a little.

I know a gal who has a s60 polestar (custom ordered) with 130k miles.
Very fast car. |
What year? New ones - I’m told - like visiting the shop regularly.
Like most post covid Volvos of any size. Owning out of warranty can be ‘spensive. |
I researched used xc60s and found a lot of cautionary tales regarding the tech in them. Enough to scare me away.
Bummer cause the car looks about perfect otherwise. |
My folks started driving s60’s when the decent Saab supply withered away. They’ve been solid, inexpensive to own and maintain, and with their safety record, I feel it was a good fit for them.
I was pleased and impressed enough as time moved on that I felt I should look at one for a winter and city car now that my son has his GTI at college. I picked up a 2016 polestar tuned v60 R edition. It has performed flawlessly for me for the past 9 months. |

I preferred our previous MBZ GLC to the XC40... probably due to the RWD.
