The colors of the Porsche lineup was fantastic. Not just variations of silver.

OK, I’ll give you one exception.

Especially the 914s.

Not much in the 70's related in any way to fashion needs to be repeated. Clothes, house interiors, car designs....

Yet people are trying to re-create the originals.

Impossible to do with automobiles.

Fashion and architecture can be done.

Music.....no freaking way!

:D

I refused the plaids and the worst, the HUGE cuffs on the bottom of slacks, like the photo I posted above. For most of the time I was OK in Levis 501s which did not have the idiotic bell bottoms, but I HATED the stupid button fly.

I had to wear slacks and a sport coat to go to the state capitol and photograph the senators and house members making the laws. And to Governor's Wallace's office when he had a press conference, or made a state of the state speech. It was dang near impossible to find "normal" slacks in that era, except the slacks from a suit.

Those fashion designers of the era needed a punch in the nose and motivation to get back to normal fashions. I really feel sorry for women. The fashions changed fast, and the prices were nuts. All just to sell more clothes.

Eff all the fashion designers.

Levi was a designer with no fashion in mind. How things changed.
