Thanks for that. Economaci’s descriptions were funny. “180mph Speedsters” YIKES! ( I know he didn’t mean capital “S” Speedsters) . Funny to see a P1800 in the same class as a 904.

loved the brief shot of a skinny tire lowest class car passing one of the big boys in the wet...also, that Ferrari, seeing the McLaren lap times, pulled it's factory entries. Glad you liked it...a fun video of past glory days.

The first time I raced at Sebring I had to race at night in the rain. Sebring's mix of concrete and asphalt make it very challenging in the wet.

It was interesting in 1965 that they drove the race cars from the track 8 miles to downtown Sebring and did tech inspection in a grocery store parking lot. They did that through at least the early 70s including the 917 era. I'm guessing this was to promote the race. The firehouse shown in the map is still there and in use. No signs of rain on tech day!

Thanks Curt...cars being driven to the race are as interesting as cars in the race...lots of drool material.

^^^ Absolutely. It amazes me too that a lot of those original concrete runways from WWII are still in use and will be raced on this weekend. Are there other tracks in the world where that is the case  Maybe, but I can't think of one.
