I'm increasingly doing field work, and when I go in the field I need EVERYTHING, because I end up having to do EVERYTHING while at an observatory. So, I have my tools, my other tools, my power tools, by electrical stuff (soldering iron, etc), all of my pieces and parts in both metric and imperial...

Basically I probably have 200 different items. I'm using 3 methods right now, trying to decide which I like the most.

I have 4 of these, they lock closed and lock together. Mine are Amazon Basic, and I bought them when they introduced them, so they were cheap, like $6 each:

I also have a rolling toolbag, which I fill with bigget stuff, then stack things onto since it has a nice flat top. Folding table, folding chair, laptop, etc.

Finally, I've been piecing together for cheap modular makeup cases. They're called train cases, and they stack and lock together. They're stupid expensive for what they are, but every wannabe beauty school dropout gets one, then sells them 2 years later for dirt cheap. They take up no floor space, they have sections that accordian open, and they carry an absolutely STUPID amount of stuff. Get some basic 36 bin plastic cases, toss them in these train cases, and go to town!
