My Life Is A Rollercoaster

I'm really getting tired of the ups and downs lately. Some say, "Oh, that's just life." The last day I worked before going to Korea, Mom had to have Rusty put to sleep, so I was grieving that day, so that was a down day for sure. Then, there was the trip to Korea, which was like a whirlwind of excitement and was a huge climb up the hill of this rollercoaster. While in Korea, my wife, Brooke, took Paisley to the Vet for some bloodwork to be done and it turned out that the numbers for his liver function were very high so more tests including an ultrasound were scheduled and that was all performed yesterday. The ultrasound confirmed our worst fears, Paisley has a mass on his liver and on his spleen. Paisley, "Pai", is our Yorkie and he is 10 years old. We could have chemo administered, but that may or may not even remedy the situation, and to put him through that at his age would be very hard on him. So, the vet basically told us that we will monitor this and to love him, and spoil him for the rest of his remaining days. He could live a month, or he could live another year.
So, now this was a huge slide down the tracks of this rollercoaster, I really don't like this ride and just want off, but I will just have to deal with this. We will make sure that Pai is okay and watch him closely. I will continue to give him his meds and go about our normal daily activities. He acts the same, like nothing is wrong. He eats well, drinks well, pees and poops well, and the minute things start to change is when we will have to make a tough decision. Yep, it's been a rollercoaster lately, and I'm kind of tired of it, but I will get through it. Thanks for letting me vent. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...faee16f872.jpg

Paisley has enjoyed 10 years so far. That is a long life up to this point. It is a tough decision some times, that we have to make. It is one thing to lose something you love after the normal natural process of life. It is another thing to lose your son when he just turned 27.

I am sorry for the loss of your son, 27 is much too young to pass away. My condolences. [emoji120]
