Spring/Summer Road Trips
Hey Everyone!
With the weather warming up, I’m starting to think about planning our yearly family road trip! Over the last few years we’ve been traveling to places like Lassen National Park, the Grand Canyon, Great Basin in Nevada, and Pinnacles National Park. This year it’s looking like we’re going to drive the California coast and just take our time doing some sightseeing along the way until we get to the Redwoods National Park. We used to do these roadtrips in my BMW F31 328d, but I recently upgraded to a Toyota Sienna and this will be our first road trip with the new van :D Is anyone else planning a fun road trip this spring or summer? We’d love to hear about the places you’re visiting and what you’ll be driving along the way! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1743636651.jpg |
Moving cross country. Hope to take one (or maybe both?) of the 911s for the roadtrip.

Talked the wife into a long weekend in Sonoma with the Boxster. It won't suck.

This year, the Oregon coast in a Navion 24' RV. We will begin in Astoria and work our way down the coast to Gold Beach to hang with family for a few days. Fairly short travel days followed by lots of waterfall hikes and stunning coastal views. Hoping for clear weather.

I travel every year on road trips to Porsche Parade. We have made it into upper Maine, key West and California four times now. 41 states and Canada.
This year will be an arduous 12 mile journey to downtown Oklahoma City. it will be an epic Parade. Next year is Lake Placid, NY so a bit further. |

I'm heading south from Calgary, Alberta to Tucson next week. We are crossing the border into Montana at Coutts and then heading to Butte on day 1. Day 2 on to Lehi, Utah and then we are spending 2 days near Zion National Park. Day 5 on to Page, AZ and then down to Tucson. Although I've been to AZ many times before, it's my first time actually driving there......what other quick stops along the way should I consider? Any concerns now being a Canadian crossing the border into "the big, bad U.S. of A." ;)SmileWavy these days?

Going to Montreal in a few weeks to deliver a Turbo door frame set to one customer and 2002 headlight grilles to another. Canadian customers are freaked out so we decided it's safest for me to cross the border with them. Bonus to bring gf and have a nice weekend in Montreal, great food, great bagels. Double bonus, might hit 265K miles on my 328i during the trip.

Coming from Calgary you have probably had your fill of breathtaking glacial canyons, waterfalls, trees, bears, moose ho hum. Spending time in and around the Four corners region is quite marvelous and very different than north of the border. Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands are all pretty amazing and each has its own character much like the Hawaiian islands. I could spend a month easily in these parks and not get bored. Worth a look. https://morethanjustparks.com/national-parks-near-moab/ |
